California Coast & Ocean On-line Archive

Published by the Coastal Conservancy Association with a grant from the Coastal Conservancy, California Coast & Ocean (originally titled California Waterfront Age) was the only periodical dedicated to coverage and analysis of vital trends and events affecting California’s coast. The quarterly magazine ceased publication due to budget cuts in 2009.

The Coast & Ocean Archive contains scans of every issue published between Winter 1985 and Autumn 2009. Each issue has been collated into a searchable PDF document and may be downloaded below (please note the file sizes.)

To assist in choosing an edition for download, a separate master index to all articles contained in the Archive is available here (cando_index.pdf.)

A DVD containing all the editions of Coast & Ocean, with a searchable master index, is also available. Questions regarding the Coast & Ocean Archive may be directed to Dick Wayman, Conservancy Communications Director, at dwayman@scc.ca.gov
