2.      Approval of Minutes of April 1  Conservancy Teleconference Meeting

 

 

3.   CONSENT

 

A.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $2,750,000 to the  U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the implementation of the Hamilton Wetland Restoration Project, Novato, Marin County.

 

B.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to modify the June 4, 2009 authorization to accept and disburse funds from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for implementation of projects under the South Bay Salt Ponds Restoration Project as follows: 1) redirect up to $300,000 in awarded funds; and 2) accept and disburse up to $300,000 for fish studies.

 

C.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to augment the Conservancy’s November 6, 2008 authorization to the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County to include an additional acquisition parcel and restoration planning for Watsonville Slough, Santa Cruz County.

 

D.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $70,000 to the Northcoast Regional Land Trust to conduct pre-acquisition planning for a conservation easement on the 160-acre Wetherell Dairy in Fort Dick, Del Norte County and fee title to the 40-acre Senestraro property in Eureka, Humboldt County, and to prepare a Restoration and Management Plan for the 77-acre McNamara Dairy in Orick, Humboldt County.

 

E.   Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse an amount not to exceed $51,500  to augment the Conservancy’s October 5, 2006 authorization to the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project to manage the Science Advisory Panel of the Southern California Wetlands Recovery Project.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

 

5.   Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $1,200,000 to the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council for planning for future Bay Area Ridge Trail projects within the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area.

 

6.   Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $355,000 to the City of Berkeley to construct an extension of the San Francisco Bay Trail within East Shore State Park, and a water access ramp at the Berkeley Marina, Berkeley, Alameda County.

 

7.   Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $300,000 to the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association to develop an Ocean Beach Master Plan, City and County of San Francisco.

 

8.   Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization (1) to disburse up to $800,000 to Ducks Unlimited to construct a pedestrian/bicycle bridge linking the San Francisco Bay Trail to Inner Bair Island, San Mateo County, and (2) for the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) to disburse up to $200,000 of previously-authorized Conservancy funds to Ducks Unlimited for this project. [Addendum: Bair Island EIR/EIS Volume I and Volume II (NOTE--very large file sizes, >200 MB, may be slow to load...)]

 

9.   Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $118,200 to The Land Trust of Napa County to implement invasive plant control and riparian habitat restoration in the Eticuera Creek watershed in northeastern Napa County.

 

 

 

NORTH COAST

 

10. Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $1,000,000 to the Marin Agricultural Land Trust to acquire an agricultural conservation easement over the 1214-acre J. Corda Ranch five miles west of Novato, Marin County.

 

11. Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $600,000 to the Mattole Restoration Council to implement phase III of Mattole River Enhancement Activities in the lower Mattole River watershed, Humboldt County.

 

 

12. Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to accept $1,000,000 from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and to disburse these funds and up to an additional $1,000,000 of Conservancy funds to the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy for implementation of the Lower Redwood Creek Restoration Project in Marin County.

 

 

CENTRAL COAST

 

13. Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $250,000 to the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission to prepare a Master Coastal Trail Plan and environmental analysis for the Santa Cruz County segment of the California Coastal Trail.

 

14. Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $50,000 to Save Our Shores to develop a cigarette litter abatement demonstration project to reduce watershed and beach cigarette litter in Santa Cruz County.

 

 

SOUTH COAST

 

15. Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $317,000 to the San Dieguito River Park Joint Powers Authority in San Diego County to: 1) construct a trail segment of the Coast to Crest Trail; 2) construct the Mesa Loop Trail and 3) develop alternative alignments and complete engineering design, environmental review and construction documents for the Reach the Beach segment of the Coast to Crest Trail. [Addendum: San Dieguito Wetland Restoration Project EIR/EIS Volume IVolume II, Summary, and Conclusion]

 

16. Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $300,000 to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to construct a portion of the Bayside Birding and Walking Trail in the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge, San Diego County, and adoption of a CEQA Mitigated Negative Declaration and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program for the project.

 

17. Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $200,000 to the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition to complete technical studies, project design, and stakeholder coordination for development of the Rose Creek Watershed Trail, San Diego County.
