2.      Approval of Minutes of March 17, 2011 Conservancy Meeting.

 

 

3.      CONSENT

 

A.    Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization for the Association of Bay Area Governments to disburse up to $70,000 of previously granted Conservancy funds to the Port of San Francisco to construct .75 miles of a Class I multi-use pathway along Cargo Way in the Bayview/Hunter’s Point District of San Francisco.       

 

B.     Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $60,000 to O’Neill Sea Odyssey for implementation of a new marine education project serving underserved elementary school children in the Monterey Bay region.

 

C.     Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to an additional $160,000 to Alnus Ecological, Inc. to continue to provide environmental services to the Conservancy to guide development of watershed restoration projects that meet resource goals and achieve full compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.

 

D.    Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $600,000 to the Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County to augment the grant awarded on December 4, 2008 for Phase 3 of the Integrated Watershed Restoration Program to design and permit 8-10 additional watershed restoration projects in San Mateo, Santa Cruz, and Monterey Counties.

E.     Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $22,000 to the Coastal Land Trust for the operation and maintenance of Seaside Beach and the Heritage Trail in Mendocino County.

F.      Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $15,000 to the County of Humboldt for preliminary designs to enhance public access and protect cultural resources at Big Lagoon County Park in Humboldt County.

SOUTH COAST

 

5.      Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $3,400,000 to the County of Riverside to implement coastal access along the Santa Ana River Parkway in Riverside County.

 

6.      Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $2,000,000 to the County of Orange to implement coastal access along the Santa Ana River Parkway in Orange County.

 

7.      Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $1,445,000 to the City of Santee to acquire and design a trail on the Walker Property along the San Diego River, San Diego County, for the purpose of protecting and restoring habitat and providing compatible public access.

 

8.      Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $650,000 to the City of Del Mar to construct a beach access pathway and new public restrooms as component parts of the replacement of the 17th Street Beach Safety Center in the city of Del Mar, San Diego County.

 

 

CENTRAL COAST

 

9.      Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $4,500,000 to the Ocean Protection Council to fund implementation of the San Clemente Dam Removal Project in Monterey County.

 

10.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $3,000,000, including $500,000 of funds from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, to The Trust for Public Land for acquisition of the 63-acre Ocean Meadows property in Devereux Slough, Santa Barbara County.

 

11.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $250,000 to the County of San Mateo to build a segment of the Coastal Trail, including a bridge over San Vicente Creek, at the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve in Moss Beach, San Mateo County.

 

 

 

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

 

12.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $3,100,000 to the Solano Land Trust toward acquisition of approximately 1,500 acres of the Rockville Trails Estates property, and preparation of a property management plan.

 

13.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $1,850,000 to Ducks Unlimited, Inc. for the restoration of wetlands at Middle Bair Island by authorizing the following actions: 1) Modification of the June 4, 2009 authorization regarding the disbursement of funds from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for Phase I of the South San Francisco Bay Salt Pond (SBSP) Restoration Project; and 2) Authorization to accept and disburse up to $1,250,000 from the Department of Water Resources, if approved, for wetland restoration at Middle Bair Island, in San Mateo County.

 

14.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $1,000,000 to the East Bay Regional Park District for the acquisition of approximately 540 acres of the 955-acre Owen property in order to expand the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park, in Alameda County.

 

15.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $750,000 to LandPaths to acquire a remainder interest in the 120-acre Ranchero Mark West property in Sonoma County for the protection of natural resources, public access, and education.

 

16.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $500,000 to the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District to acquire the 97-acre Silva property for addition to the Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve near the town of La Honda in unincorporated San Mateo County.

 

 

NORTH COAST

 

17.  Consideration and possible  Conservancy authorization to accept and disburse up to $1,000,000 from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and to disburse an additional amount of up to $1,000,000 of Conservancy funds to the Humboldt County Resource Conservation District to implement the Salt River Ecosystem Restoration Project.

 

18.   Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $315,000 to the Northcoast Regional Land Trust to acquire an approximately 36-acre parcel at the confluence of Martin Slough and Swain Slough in the Elk River watershed in Humboldt County to facilitate the future restoration and enhancement of wetlands, water quality, and fish and wildlife habitat on a portion of the property, and the preservation and enhancement of coastal agriculture on the remaining area.
