Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, the incumbent performs difficult technical and professional accounting work within the Accounting unit of the Conservancy.

  • Enter funding information onto support-funded Inter-Office Requisitions (IORs). Sign off and forward to Procurement;
  • Enter support fund reservations by IORs onto Draw Down Sheets on Share;
  • Enter PO number onto Draw Down Sheets when approving POs for Support funds;
  • Coordinate support fund issues with Accounting manager and requesting staff;
  • Audit and approve support POs in Fi$Cal or push back for correction;
  • Enter Activity Sheets into Fi$Cal for Reporting Unit 200 staff by the 4th of each month from information pulled from TEMPO;
  • Back up and overflow of voucher preparation for Contract Invoices;
  • Ensure Cash availability for Bond fund payments;
  • Enter Bond fund expenditures in ABCRS;
  • Prepare monthly fund reconciliations for funds as assigned.

Working Conditions
The Accounting Unit has one manager, five full-time employees and one retired annuitant. Work environment is fairly busy at all times and staff work cooperatively with one another as well as with other units within the State Coastal Conservancy.

  • Office setting; Monday through Friday
  • Prolonged periods of sitting
  • Working on a computer up to 8 hours a day
  • May require an employee to work in adversarial situations
  • Multi task, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities in a cooperative manner
