Under the general direction of the Deputy Executive Officer – Develops, implements and maintains all aspects of the personnel program at the Coastal Conservancy, ensuring its functionality and compliance. Is responsible for both payroll and personnel duties for the agency.
Receives direction and assignments from the HR Officer.

Maintain current Knowledge of all State of California Laws, Rules, Procedures, etc.
Prepare Confidential Memos and Reports

Working Conditions
Office setting; Monday through Friday; prolonged periods of sitting (or standing, if preferred)
Work on a computer up to 7 hours a day
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
Indoor work is common
May require an employee to work in adversarial situations
Attend and participate in meetings
Multitask, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities in a cooperative manner
Travel, with overnight stays necessary on occasion
