Joint Meeting of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy and The State Coastal Conservancy

Joint Meeting of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy
and the State Coastal Conservancy
June 25, 2015
1:30 – 4:00 pm
1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95812
Coastal Hearing Room

Meeting Purpose/Desired Outcomes:

The State Coastal Conservancy’s San Francisco Bay Area Conservancy Program and the Sacramento-
San Joaquin Delta Conservancy are each engaged, among other work, in the planning and implementation of restoration and enhancement work in the San Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary, to improve estuarine habitats for fish and wildlife, improve water quality, and improve public access to the Bay and  Delta. The Conservancies are working in two regions, the San Francisco Bay and the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, that are ecologically interconnected. Our Governing Boards are coming together to build understanding about the issues facing the Estuary and the State plans that guide implementation, the need for close collaboration between the Conservancies to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people of California, and to increase  awareness of the roles our Conservancies play in restoration and enhancement of the Estuary.

The Governing Boards will receive presentations from legislators, state agency representatives, and technical experts, and will consider and potentially adopt a joint resolution regarding the working relationship between the two Conservancies.
