The State Coastal Conservancy (SCC) has a rare opportunity to join our agency to protect California’s iconic lands and waters, restore vital habitats, and increase inclusive and equitable enjoyment of the coast and shoreline. The position will be filled as a Conservancy Project Development Analyst II (CPDA II). Please click on the Duty Statement link below to review the specifics of the CPDA II position.
The SCC works with local partners on multi-benefit projects located along the coast of California, within coastal watersheds, and/or within the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area. The new Conservancy Project Development Analyst II will assist with disbursing state funding and managing projects to acquire and protect natural and agricultural lands, restore, and enhance habitats and ecosystems, design and build trails and other recreational facilities, plan and implement climate adaptation projects, provide environmental education, and improve public access for historically underserved communities. Tasks will be performed under the general direction of a Regional or Deputy Manager. The work will include soliciting and reviewing grant applications, assisting grantees with project development, writing, and presenting staff recommendations for Conservancy Board approval, developing grant agreements in cooperation with legal staff, ensuring that the project purpose and all conditions of the grant agreement are met, reviewing invoices, and monitoring the progress of projects. The new staff person will be part of the Southern California Regional Work Group and will work with grantees, partner agencies, tribes, non-profit organizations, and community groups on projects from Ventura to San Diego.

Salary Range: $7,327.00 – $9,179.00  per Month
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
