Job Posting: SF Bay Project Manager

The State Coastal Conservancy has a rare opportunity for you to join us at the full journey level in protecting the San Francisco Bay Area’s iconic lands and waters, restoring vital habitats, increasing inclusive and equitable enjoyment of the Bay shoreline, and enhancing climate resilience. This position in the Conservancy’s SF Bay Area Program will have a strong focus on sea level rise adaptation, flood risk reduction, and habitat restoration.
The Conservancy works with others on multi-benefit projects located along the coast of California, within coastal watersheds, and/or within the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area. The new staff member will be part of the San Francisco Bay Area Program and will work with grantees, partner agencies, organizations, and regional collaboratives, as well as tribes and community groups.
The new Conservancy Project Development Analyst will assist with disbursing state funding and managing projects to acquire and protect natural and agricultural lands, restore, and enhance habitats and ecosystems, design and build trails and other recreational facilities, plan and implement climate adaptation solutions, provide environmental education, and improve public access for historically underserved communities. Tasks will be performed under the general direction of a Regional or Deputy Manager, and may include but will not be limited to:
• Soliciting and reviewing grant applications
• Assisting with project development
• Writing and presenting staff recommendations for Conservancy Board approval
• Developing grant agreements in cooperation with legal staff
• Ensuring that the project purpose and all conditions of grant agreements are met
• Reviewing invoices
• Monitoring the progress of projects.

Monthly salary band:
$7,327.00 – $9,179.00 per Month
